Day 5 of the 28-Day Qigong Challenge.
For Day 5, we are learning Consolidation with the Cocoon.
Both of these are more conceptional, more internal, and happen more in the mind.
The Cocoon is a Taoist meditation exercise. Imagine yourself safe and secure in a cocoon, or a comfy blanket. No harm can come to you. Nothing external can breech the barrier of the cocoon.
I sometimes combine this with dissolving and/or different layers of an exercise called Bone Marrow Cleansing, a visualization about the effects reaching the innermost part of you, washing out external influences, so that only you remain.
This combining is not original, nothing is. I saw it used in a book titled Chi Kung in Recovery.
